American Youth for Services (AY4S)

              Free Tutoring Service

American Youth for Services is the first and only free 

tutoring service in the Chicago Metropolitan area that focuses on preparing youths/young adults for the US Armed Forces recruitment test (ASVAB). The program was started in 2013 by Nicole Song, who was a high school senior at York Community High School. While participating in weekly physical training at Marine Recruiting Station-DuPage North, Nicole noticed a strong demand for help passing the ASVAB. She volunteered to tutor a couple of students to help them pass. In 2016, the program was expanded when a group of local high school students got involved and officially formed a community service organization, American Youth for Services (AY4S).  Since then, AY4S has successfully helped 10+ students pass ASVAB, two of which achieved a 20+ point improvement on their test. We pride ourselves on our dedication to help people achieve their dream of serving the country. We not only teach our students, but we care for their success in the future. With a focus on personalized service, we always strive to meet and exceed the highest standards in order to provide the best help. We would love to give back to the community and have a positive impact on the people around us.

Welcome to American Youth for Services. I’m David Jin, the current Operations President of our Marine tutoring program. We pride ourselves in helping people fulfill their dream of serving the United States. I have tutored for over a year now and am just one of our many highly committed tutors. Being a fan of Atletico Madrid, I value hard work and organization. Although that may not be the easiest to maintain within a group of adolescents, they are traits that I look for when recruiting new tutors.
